Prevalent Studios “Prevalent” primary business is acquiring pictures for distribution from outside Producers. Prevalent recognizes that the film business around the world is in a constant state of change. Appetites for different types of films rise and fall, but one thing in the market continues unchanged; that is the demand for a quality film. Prevalent looks first to the film’s quality. Is it well made? Does the story move along? Are the characters engaging? Is it well acted and well directed? These are all part of the process in selecting a film to bring into Prevalent. We are not, nor will be a “volume-sales” machine. We hand select each and every film based on it’s own merit and value. Some films perform better than others as is the nature of the business, but there is no company who will work harder of more diligently than Prevalent to sell each and every film for each and every Producer. Marketing campaigns and trailers tend to be the key to the trade and Prevalent uses the top agencies in town (getting independent prices) to develop and design ad campaigns, trailers, and marketing concepts. So committed to the marketing of the film, Prevalent has and will go back and re-work a campaign entirely if it will increase the potential of a film. Due to the fact that the owner of the company is a filmmaker, Prevalent works with Producers in a very different manner than any other international sales company. Prevalent is working to maximize the potential of a film, and simplify the details for the Producer. It’s a simple process; there is a flat marketing cost, there is a sales commission, the remainder of the gross revenue goes directly back to the Producers.
